  • Juris Doctor degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, May 2002.
  • Graduate of Humphrey Institute Policy Forum of University of Minnesota   2002-2003.
  • Graduate of Higher Institute for Islamic Studies, Cairo, 1989 with graduate diploma (MA) in Islamic Studies and Islamic Law.
  • Graduate of Somali National University School of Law, 1986, received LL.B. in civil law and Islamic law.  

Experience

  • Associate Professor of Islamic University of Minnesota.  Former Adjunct Professor, William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.  Imam/Chairman, Minnesota Dawah Institute.
  • Director, Dawah Academy Islamic school.
  • Dean, Minnesota Dawah Institute.  Former MAS-MN vice president and Former Director of MAS-MN Freedom Foundation.  Current President of United Mosques of America.
